Outcome of Patients With Severe Aortic Stenosis and Normal Coronary Arteries Undergoing Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation

چکیده
Coronary artery disease and severe aortic stenosis (AS) often coexist. This study sought to investigate the impact of normal coronary arteries as negative risk marker in patients undergoing transcatheter valve implantation (TAVI). Consecutive with AS TAVI were dichotomized according presence or absence arteries, defined lesions diameter ≥30% vessels ≥1.5 mm on angiogram without prior revascularization. The primary end point was 1-year mortality. Out 987 TAVI, 258 (26%) had arteries. These younger, more likely women, lower EuroSCORE II STS scores. Although mortality at 30 days similar atherosclerosis groups (3.1% vs 5.6%, p = 0.11), it those 1 year (8.9% 17%, p = 0.003). In multivariable analysis, independently predicted (adjusted HR 0.57, 95% CI 0.37 0.90, p = 0.02). conclusion, this TAVI.

Long-term outcome of cirrhotic patients with severe aortic stenosis treated with transcatheter aortic valve implantation.
Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) has become consolidated in recent years as a safe and effective alternative treatment for patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis with high surgical risk. The most commonly used scales for calculating preoperative surgical risk are the EuroSCORE (European System for Cardiac Operative Risk Evaluation)—the preferred scale in our setting—and ...

Aim To assess outcome of TAVI in high risk patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis. Patients and methods 40 patients with symptomatic severe aortic stenosis and high risk underwent TAVI with implantation of either Sapien XT valve or Core Valve and followed for 6 months. Device success, cardiovascular mortality, myocardial infarction, stroke, life-threatening bleeding and vascular com...
متن کاملRecovery from Anemia in Patients with Severe Aortic Stenosis Undergoing Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation – Prevalence, Predictors and Clinical Outcome
INTRODUCTION Preoperative anemia is common in patients with severe aortic stenosis undergoing transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and has been linked to a poorer outcome--including a higher 1-year mortality. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of successful TAVI on baseline anemia. METHODS A total of 253 patients who survived at least 1 year following TAVI were incl...
متن کاملTranscatheter aortic valve implantation in patients with severe aortic stenosis and small aortic annulus.
OBJECTIVES Valve hemodynamics and clinical outcomes among patients with a small aortic annulus who underwent transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) were examined. BACKGROUND The presence of a small aortic annulus may complicate the surgical management of patients with severe aortic stenosis (AS). TAVI is an alternative to aortic valve replacement (AVR) in high-risk patients, but few d...

INTRODUCTION The impact of coronary artery disease (CAD) on outcomes after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) has not been clarified. Furthermore, less is known about the indication and strategy of revascularization in these high risk patients. AIMS This study sought to determine the prevalence and prognostic impact of CAD in patients undergoing TAVI, and to assess the safety and ...
